The entire manual is available >>here<<. For coaches, the important section is the four page of clock instructions on pages 6-9. As this quick guide can be accessed through the web site, then each coach would be wise to print a copy and carry it with them...just in case a timer doesn't appear and an assistant coach plus a parent can operate the clock until help arrives.
The key for an emergency operator is to have a pen, since the scoresheet is the essential tool. If the clock can be started, and stopped and started on the whistle, then penalties can be managed manually by an adult at the penalty box, even if the penalty clock operation may be an ambitious expectation.
This is like insurance; if everybody has the manual then nothing is likely to happen. But without the quick guide, you can count on a problem occurring
